I have my wrapping I just need to get the presents!

Yes this is a little bit like the old saying 'which comes first the chicken or the egg', in my case I have organised my Christmas wrapping before I have finished my shopping.  I am quite excited at the thought of having gifts wrapped with the lovely items I have purchased adorning them.

I normally buy the run of the mill wrapping paper but boy have my eyes opened to what choices I have from so many talented handmade designers.  Here are some of my purchases I would like to share..

Firstly I found this divine Santa's Shabby Christmas Stocking and Christmas Reindeer gift tags from Petite Paperie Shoppe

By then I thought I was sorted by when I found these gift tags from Pocket Carnival

arent they adorable!

Now I just need some nice glossy white paper and my presents will be finished off with this candy striped twine I purchased from Koko Vanilla Designs

I am so excited....now on to the present shopping....

Yo Yo Mania

I have been having a ball lately making some delightful yo-yo clips for my store.  I love making them so much as it combines my love of fabric and buttons all in to one!

I am really proud of  my stunning satin ones just in time for the holiday season.  I found these gorgeous glass look buttons and just had to make something special with them. I have also enjoyed as with all my goodies, giving them fun little names.  These will look stunning for the young or young at heart, perfect for Christmas Day or New Years Eve!  I hope you enjoy these little creations :)

Handmade Delights

I have been making some purchases lately through Made It which has sooo many lovely handmade items from talented Aussies.

Firstly I bought a lovely card from Studio S, I am really lucky that many of my friends have gotten engaged recently and I thought the 'Special Moments' card would make the perfect card for an engagement. Also to celebrate opening their store on Made It, Studio S is offering free shipping until the end of November!

I also discovered this really gorgeous tank top for my daughter from Mooce Baby, the red and white spots caught my attention straight away so I just had to have it!

I have just popped on tonight to check out the store and spotted this cute polka dot skirt as well...oooh credit card...but gee that would look so cute on my little one!

Another discovery that I was so thrilled with that I have already purchased another one is the 'Vintage Floral Notty Necklace' from Bits and Bubs.  This came wrapped so lovely that I have bought one as a present for another little treasure in my life.

Then finally I just couldnt go past this Vintage Ephemera mini paperpack from Sweet William  This was filled with lovely vintage papers and my favourite - vintage storybook delights!  I have been using some of these papers in the background of my shots for some of my goodies as well.

Party Time!!

I have to admit that yes I am one of those mothers who goes ALL out and gets extremely 'partyzilla' when it comes to organising a celebration for either my son or daughter. I know they may not remember it, but I want them to know how special I have tried to make their big days and I am often on the hunt for items that will add that 'special touch' to their parties. I have a girlfriend who is just the same and we often send each other links to wonderous things we find and we keep these things saved as 'favourites' so when it comes to planning time we already have these items good to go!

So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I heard about Twiggi a store which specialises in 'ideas and inpsiration for special moments' in our lives.

I just had to share some of my favourites from this store. Number one being the personalised stamps!!! These are customised stamps that you and your little one can use to decorate anything from invitations, thank yous, art work - you name it. What makes me love them even more is you have a choice of coloured inks to choose from as well and postage is FREE on these stamps. Does it get better than that? I am going to be getting the Joshua stamp pictured for my 'little groover'.

Other items I adore from this delightful store are the many cupcake accessories - check out these magnets below (yes I have a cupcake obsession that unfortunately does go straight to my hips) and the many party favours available in girl and boy themes. I think I am going to be sorted come my littles ones birthdays for next year!

If only there was a 'like' button for websites like on Facebook...

I have been fortunate enough through my networks to recently discover Project 18

What is Project 18 do you ask? Well take a look at my favourite quote from Project 18's inspirational President, Cate Bolt
'Its time to make like superheros. Put your underpants on the outside - we've got a freakin world to save'

I wont go on too much about the site as I think it is important that you all check it out for yourselves but just a few things you should know are that in the shop all the dresses are made from dontated fabrics. All the handmade items that Cate makes are from donations so the items are limited and very exclusive so you can be sure your daughter will be wearing a unique piece.

Along with the fabric being donated, so is the time that Cate takes to sew all the dresses, so you know that 100% of the sale price goes directly to the charity.

Project 18 is unique because it combines humanitarian and conservation aid, with equal importance. They recognise that the future of our earth depends almost totally on the children of today. They seek to involve children in environmental conservation, reforestation & rehabilitation of wildlife from the youngest possible age. They believe that if communities are given the tools, knowledge & opportunity to create sustainable lifestyles for themselves and their families they will be able to create a legacy that will last for generations to come.

Along with the handmade dresses there are a couple of creations that I feel are a must have!

I am personally in love with the Heart you Two bag and now that my lovely sister just got engaged over the weekend I have my eye on this ring pillow for her wedding.

So go on, take a look at Project 18 and I assure you, you will find not only inspiration but fabulous items for yourself or GREAT xmas pressies that you know are the gift that keeps giving.  So hurry up please before I buy the whole shop!

I am very excited to have so many new members join my Blog so will get to seriously blogging!

I am proud to say I have recently joined DUST (Down Under Street Team) and have been meeting so many friendly and VERY talented Etsians through this network.  I am just amazed at all the creativity out there and recommend you check out this Citrine Gift Guide that they have put together featuring many Citrine coloured pieces (Citrine is the birthstone for November).  My 'Zippy' headband is featured there as well!
