Blink and You Miss It

Wow it has been a really long time since I have posted on this blog, and it certainly has not been because I have nothing to say as unfortunately I am never short of that as my friends and family will tell you I am quite the chatterbox!  It has just been that things have been so busy both work wise and in my personal life.  Now I am certainly not going to complain about my shop being busy it is WONDERFUL to have so many supporters!

I have had to move house and with two little ones in tow it has not been the quick and easy task that I thought it would be seeing that I was only moving a few streets away. They are taking a while to settle in the new environment so lots of sleepless nights and not being able to find things as I cant remember where I put them when I unpacked have been happening around here.  My little man has moved to a big boy bed, when I say BIG bed I mean it as he was already in a toddler bed but now he has a double bed which was kindly donated by his Aunty, I actually think his bed may be more comfortable than my own!  While my youngest has just moved in to the stage where she no longer requires a sleeping bag so there have been lots of 'its playtime' moments happening at 2 and 3 am!

You may have also noticed that 'How Tweet It Is' has had a makeover!  The extremely talented Tamara Sirl Designs has done an amazing job, and I am really not lying when I say with my logo she did not have to change one thing at all I loved it straight away!  She did this all with my very rambled and sleep deprived brief of wanting a little vintage style girl holding a bird in Old Hollywood style.  I am sure you will agree she captured it perfectly!

Ok so that is my little update in a nutshell but I thought I will share some pictures of things that have been happening outside of the stresses of moving house and I hope to be able to be more frequent with my entries from now on...

My little man turned Three!

Lots of family fun times smiling and a bit of r'n'r

I was interviewed by Made It for the Mum Who Makes segment, which was such an honour!  You can read my interview here

I also had my first print ad published with so many talented Made It designers in one of my favourite magazines 'My Child'!

Phew....oh well I had better go my little ones have been watching the road outside to make sure it is drying up as I promised to take them to the park if the rain stopped...till next time xox

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter break.  I had a mini getaway with my two little ones at a lovely spot along the Yorke Peninsula here in South Australia.  The kids a ball, they got to ride a tractor, go on a boat, chase seagulls, feed penguins, eat icecream and make sandcastles.  I managed to get some relaxation as well with a couple of 'nanna' naps during the day which I have not been able to do for a long time and a Bingo session at the local shed so that was nice for Mummy too!

Apart from the flies it was a great place to visit!

My How Time Flies..

I cant believe we are over half way through March already!   Mathilda's market was a great success and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to talk to customers face to face and see all the other beautiful stalls that were there. I had help from two wonderful friends and think I am so lucky to have such lovely, kind people helping me.  They even minded my stall for me while I shopped now that is a good friend!  I shopped up a storm, here is a pic of my purchases

These include a really cute cherry handbag from Sacdujour , a way too cool scarf for my little man from Tillytom, really sweet beanie from Pink Apple in the most gorgeous colours and a to die for top from Under My Wing

Other events that have happened through this month include my beautiful sister's engagement party.  She looked stunning and her fiance gave a lovely heart felt speech.  My Dad was brave enough to get up and share some words, I am so proud of him he did a great job, he even shared how our Grandpa couldnt be there that night but was there in spirit.  We all had such a great night, here is a picture to show we danced the night away that our feet were too sore to keep our shoes on!

We have found some really sweet invites from Mini Moko for the wedding, I wont share the exact design as I wouldnt want to ruin the suprise but my gosh they have some gogeous stuff!

I also got to meet the second bubs of one my close friends who arrived early and gave us all quite a scare when he had to have his twisted bowel fixed in an operation but he is a little trooper and is fighting fit the gorgeous little man.  Another one of my besties had a baby girl 7 weeks early too which was a big suprise and she is doing so well and is such a sweet little angel.  Cluck cluck cluck....

My littles ones and I also attended the very stylish 3rd birthday party of one of my closest friends little girl.  I would love to put up a picture of her but will need to check with her Mummy first if that is ok.  She is such a cutie pie and my little boy keeps telling me he is going to marry her so we will see!

Amongst all the great times I have been able to keep making some lovely goodies as well..

Finally a very exciting event took place for me today..I bought a sewing machine!

Yay Yay Yay! Mathildas Market is on the Way!

I am getting super excited about being able to feature my products at Mathildas Market next weekend!  For such a long time I have heard about how great these markets have been in other states and finally they are coming to Adelaide.  What really appeals to me is that they carefully select their stall holders to ensure the retailers have an exciting range for customers.

My best friend is coming all the way from Roxby Downs to help me on the day so that means it is an extra special day for me as we barely get any time to catch up.  So please come and say hi, we will be the two girls gossiping and catching up in between shopping up a storm as there will be so many gorgeous items for babys and kids on display!

Over the past few weekends I have been making some new goodies so besides what you can see in my shop here is a sneak peek at some of the NEW items you will see there....

These are from my 'Step Back in Time' range featuring Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and The Beatles...

My Pretty Ribbon Clips...

I also have some new handmade lace headbands and clips featuring...feathers!  I wont give too much a way so here are a couple of pictures which will give you a hint you cant quite see them properly but.....

I hope to see you there :)

Behind the Scenes

It feels like such a long time before I have posted anything and it really has been.

I really love blogging, but lately things have gotten on top of me personally and I have had to take a step back and realise it is ok not to do everything and to be everyone to everybody.  Yes I will keep telling myself that every now and again.  A few days of ordered bed rest has proven to me that I need to do that!

I have been making so many lovely new designs for my shop that I would love to share, but firstly I would love to show you some 'behind the scenes' shots of moments that occured while trying to take some photos of my daughter wearing some of my samples. Please keep in mind I do not have a whizz bang camera, just a standard point and shoot but luckily it still captures some treasured moments.

This one happened when I asked my little princess to 'smile' for Mummy..

These two happened when boredom set in

Now I cant leave this post without sharing a special shot of my little man either, I had to put this one on my Facebook Page it just made me laugh.  This is the 'man of the house' sharing a tender moment with our very patient dog, he wanted her to 'pucker up'..

Oh gosh they make it all worth while....
